Okay, so I can ride bullet trains for free, cuz I have a rail pass.

So I get on a bullet train, ride it for an hour or so, have a nice bento lunch on the train, and then when I see a city that looks cool, I hop off the train.

I have found this method of traveling Japan to be full of win and awesome.

Whoot!

There's this awesome frood called Zeno here at Lake Nojiri, and he has a connection to the intramanet. Plus his name is Zeno. I mean, come on. That's awesome.

Lake Nojiri is full of rain and bugs. I've been reading Asimov novels, and playing Realmz, and making a few Zap levels every once in a while. I think I've beat the first three scenarios in Realmz, with half the reccomended levels, because summoning creatures is like cheating, but more amusing.

So there's this goblin. Put yourself into the mind of the goblin.

We went canoeing, and swam in the lake, which was cold, unpleasant, and forced upon us. The air is filled with the incessant shrilling of semi, Japanese cicadas, which have several different songs, including 'MEE MEE MEE MEEEeeeee' 'lililiLILILIlilili' and 'ZZZZZZZZZZTZZZZZTZZZZZ'. One gets used to them. Sort of.

We're all moved in, but our stuff still hasn't arrived. We got futon beds (see: mattress on floor), and my room has a tatami floor. More pics will be forthcoming, when I can find a faster WiFi network... This one is like a 28k modem from 500 meters or something... and I can only access it from the upper corner of our house. -_-;;

Anyhoo, it's very humid and hot 24 hours a day, but Air Conditioning works.

I've been playing a lot of Realmz lately with my sisters. Our party of Alec Laura Elsa Kittyboo Felix and Twitch have defeated Spider Castle, slain several dragons, and are still exploring the sunken city of Waterford. Realmz rocks hardcorestyle. Unfortunately, Reppep Rd died, which almost made me revert back through several hours of gameplay to our last save. D:

For some reason I woke up at 5:45 AM today, which is weird. I think jet lag is still toying with my soul, and sprinkling lemon juice on it every once in a while.

Yesterday our cultural trainer person lady took us on a tour of Tokyo in a big fat American SUV. She was all like "D'ya wanna go to TGIF? Ooh look, a KFC! How about McDonalds?" And then I was all like "How about this little soba place? Couldn't we have onigiri instead? McDonalds is an evil corporation what kills babies and stuff."

So anyway, we drove past Akihabara, and I wish to return. Mmm.
